BRIGHTON DEFEATS ARSENAL WITH 2-1 VICTORY

Arsenal was thrashed today by Brighton and their supporters felt the bitter frustration and the overall sense of helplessness. The supporters were clamouring " we want winger out" It was the 34th minute, their team was 2-0 down to Chris Hughton’s well-drilled Brighton & Hove Albion and all they could do was conclude that Arsène Wenger’s time was up. Brighton performed well. They weaken Arsenal’s defensiveness, within which the goalkeeper, Petr Cech, was a glaring culprit and they might have had more during a period when Arsenal were gripped by indecision and nervousness. On the back of goals from Lewis Dunk and Glenn Murray, this was a win that reinforced the sense that Brighton are staying up with a degree of comfort.Their dreadful away form continues and the st...

PSG star players Angel Di Maria and Christopher Nkunku scored second-half goals as Paris St Germain won 2-0 against Troyes to gain their 14-point lead at the top of Ligue 1. Di Maria destroyed  the deadlock early in the second half before Nkunku's first goal of the season ensured a sixth straight league victory for Unai Emery's side. PSG made light of Neymar's absence in their first league encounter since his season-ending injury last week and only a brilliant display by Troyes goalkeeper Erwin Zelazny denied them a more convincing victory.Neymar successfully underwent surgery in Brazil on Saturday to repair the fracture to the fifth metatarsal in his right foot, sustained in last week's 3-0 league win against Marseille. Swansea defeated West Ham to escape the Premier League relegation zone with a 4-1 home win over lacklustre West Ham. Ki Sung-yueng, Mike van der Hoorn, Andy King and Jordan Ayew, from the penalty spot, were on target to deepen West Ham's own relegation concerns, before Michail Antonio struck a consolation goal for the visitors. The win takes Swansea above West Ham on goal difference - the teams are level on 30 points - but the two sides appear to be moving in different directions. Swansea have now taken 17 points from Carlos Carvalhal's nine games in charge, while West Ham have won only one of their last six with David Moyes' initial bounce effect seemingly over. West Ham suffered more misery when Winston Reid appeared to land awkwardly in the first half, the central defender carefully tre...
