Liverpool beat Burnley ahead trip to Munich

Liverpool secured victory in the last game ahead of the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie away to Fc Bayern. Jurgen Klopp's side thrash Burnley 4-2 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon to prepare for Wednesday game in Munich.Ashley Westwood opened the scoring for the visitors on six mins. The host hit back and turned the game before the half-time with goal from Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. After the restart, Firmino extended the lead with his second goal, Johann Berg Gudmundsson pulled a goal back for Burnley but that was cancelled out when Mane made it 4-2.

Philippe Coutinho reportedly eye move to Manchester United

Former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho could be on his way to Manchester United this summer from Barcelona.The Brazilian playmaker, 26, swapped Merseyside for Catalonia in January 2018, but the move has not worked out.Now, according to report, Coutinho has informed a number of Spanish players in the United squad that he wants to resurrect his career in Manchester with a £100million deal mooted.Since joining Barcelona fourteen months ago, Coutinho has played 60 games and scored 18 goals not a bad return for a midfielder.However, most of his contributions came during a run of good form towards the end of last season, whereas he has struggled recently only completing 90 minutes twice since October, and receiving jeers from his own fans against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

Barcelona had to come from behind yet again on Saturday after going 1-0 down to Rayo Vallecano at the Camp Nou thanks to Raul de Tomas’s strike.Gerard Pique headed Barcelona back on level terms, before second-half goals from Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez secured the win.The win means Barca remain seven point clear at the top of Laliga ahead Atletico Madrid, now with just 11 games left to play.
