A second half wonder strike from Rodri helped Pep Guardiola’s Man City secure an important three points at the Etihad versus Everton.
The hosts were mich the better side throughout the 90 minutes. Sterling gave them the lead just before half time.
A sublime pass from Joao Cancelo set the Englishman up and he clinically found the net from inside the penalty area.
Rodri doubled their advantage in the second half. The ball fell to him on the edge of the area and his strike flew into the top corner past Jordan Pickford. Bernardo Silva got City’s third late on from close range.
This result moves Man City back up to second in the Premier League. They are three points adrift of Chelsea at the top. Everton meanwhile are now winless in six games.
