Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) won the French Super Cup (French: Trophée des
Champions), defeating FC Nantes 4-0 at Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv on Sunday
night.
One goal was scored by Lionel Messi, two by Neymar (which included a
penalty) and another by Sergio Ramos. PSG controlled possession of the ball for
the majority of the match.
Neymar was fouled by Nantes player Jean-Charles Castelletto near the end
of the game, earning the Brazilian player a penalty kick. Castelletto was
subsequently dismissed from the field.
At the end of the game, Messi received the Man of the Match
award.
Approximately 30,000 people filled the stadium to see the big game,
according to Ynet. The game was broadcasted to millions of people in
around 140 countries worldwide.
