Aberdeen are bracing themselves for bids from Southampton and Genoa for in-demand striker Bojan Miovski, according to reports.The 24-year-old is wanted by several clubs after scoring 26 goals for the Dons last season, with sides across Europe keeping tabs on the North Macedonia international.Bologna are among those interested ahead of their first Champions League campaign in 60 years, while it has also been reported that La Liga outfit Espanyol saw their £3million bid turned down.
Now, according to the Daily Mail, Bologna’s fellow Serie A team Genoa and newly promoted English Premier League side Southampton are preparing offers for the forward.Aberdeen value their star man at around £6.5million, but despite the speculation he has been praised by Jimmy Thelin for his composure on the pitch, writes the Daily Record.
Miovski played the full 90 minutes as the Reds got off to a winning start in the Premiership with a 2-1 victory away to St Johnstone on Monday night.After the game, Swedish boss Thelin praised the forward for his display in Perth and insists that the player is fully committed to helping out his team while he remains an Aberdeen player.Thelin said: “He has been ready all the time but we have tried to prepare the whole team.
“Ester (Sokler) and Peter (Ambrose) have done well but I know what Bojan can do. He has been sharp in training and really focused and there is a lot of positive energy in the pitch and the locker room.”He showed he is here and wants to do well at Aberdeen. He has been fighting in training giving it 100 per cent and you can see he is a really good player.”Right now he is an Aberdeen player and we focus on that in training day by day.”
