Vitor Roque has admitted he’s eager to stay at Real Betis after joining the club in the summer following a nightmare time at Barcelona.
The Brazilian has moved on loan, with the option of a second year, and Betis also have a purchase option.
Vitor Roque has scored once in six appearances for his new club so far but is hoping he can continue past the end of the current campaign.
“The truth is that it does not depend on me. I want to play here for Betis. I would like that very much. I have spoken with my parents about it. Life is good here and I would love to play here more,” he said via Mundo Deportivo.
“I am very happy here. My family, who have gone through difficult times, also smile with me. I did not smile for six or seven months and I had difficult times there, but that is over now. I am here and happy. That is the most important thing.”
The striker also admitted that he is a little concerned by his lack of goals but is working hard on the training ground.
“Yes, of course. I’m a striker. It does worry me a little but I’m training and I try to take it as something natural. I train to play well and score.
“But the important thing is not only to be able to score goals but to help the team, which is creating chances. I’m working for that. If you have the opportunities, one way or another the goal will come. We have a great team and we can fight up front. Gio (Lo Celso), who is very good, Abde, Pablo (Fornals)… Many can help me.”
Vitor Roque will be hoping to add to his tally when Real Betis return to action in La Liga on Saturday against Osasuna.
