Inter Milan, the Serie A leaders, were held to a 2-2 draw by host Parma on Saturday, after giving up a two-goal advantage in the 31st round of the competition.
Inter took control of the first half, with goals from Matteo Darmian (15th minute) and Marcus Thuram (45th minute).
However, Parma staged a comeback in the second half, with substitutes Adrian Bernabe Garcia (60th minute) and Jakub Ondrika (69th minute) scoring the equalizers.
The draw brings Inter’s point total to 68, marking their first league slip since a 1-1 draw with Napoli on March 1st.
This is also Inter’s second consecutive draw in all competitions, following a 1-1 result against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final.
Second-placed Napoli, currently with 64 points, now has the opportunity to close the gap to Inter to just one point if they secure a victory against Bologna in their home match on Monday.
