Real Madrid’s Joan Martinez has recovered from his ACL rupture and looks set to return to team training with the Juvenil A, according to MARCA.
Martinez had suffered a horrific ACL injury while he was training with Real Madrid’s first team back in September of 2024, and after initial tests, it was clear that the then 16-year-old was set for a long spell on the sidelines.
He has been working on his physique as well as his recovery during these eight months, and finally, he looks to return to full training soon.
The report says Martinez likely will not play any minutes this season so that he is eased back from injury, but his focus is to recover fully for the next season.
Martinez should not be playing for the U19s given how much Real Madrid were raving about him during the pre-season last August, and rightfully so — he should be playing for at least the Castilla team — but it remains to be seen where he is put at the start of next seasons.
