Barcelona forward Raphinha may have bagged a brace against Real Madrid and taken home the MVP award but he wasn’t too happy with his performance.
The Brazilian did also miss a couple of chances in the 4-3 win at Montjuic and admitted afterwards he felt he should have done better.
“I could have scored more than two goals. I missed three chances that I can’t afford to miss. I have very high standards and I think much more about the ones I missed than the ones I scored. I always want to be at my best. When I don’t do everything right, I come away with this feeling of being able to do better,” he told media.
“I think this depends solely on us. We have to celebrate today’s game. The Clásicos are very important. But we know we still have to win one more game.”
“I’d give the MVP to other players. I didn’t play my best game. Pedri is an MVP in every game for me. I was below several: Ferran, Cubarsí, Iñigo…”
Yet Raphinha was still absolutely crucial to the victory, with his goals continuing his incredible campaign that has helped Barca to the brink of a league and cup double.
