Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham overtook something of an iconic figure in Spain’s capital in the club’s all-time goalscoring charts on Sunday.
This came owing to the Englishman’s exploits in Los Blancos’ La Liga meeting with Sevilla.
Real Madrid took to the pitch for the penultimate time this season yesterday evening, after making the trip to The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
The aforementioned Bellingham for his part featured from the off in the clash, from his customary berth in the middle of the park.
And, en route to an eventual 2-0 triumph, the 21-year-old put the finishing touches on Real’s three-point haul.
After Kylian Mbappé broke the deadlock during the 2nd-half, Bellingham put the result firmly to bed late on, courtesy of a close-range finish.
And as alluded to above, in the process, the youngster overtook a one-time Blancos hero in the history books.
As revealed by statisticians StatMuse, with a haul of 37 to his name in just two seasons, Bellingham has now scored more goals for Real Madrid than Ángel Di María.
