Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo says he’s hopeful of reaching an agreement with Barcelona for on loan defender Clement Lenglet.
The Frenchman moved to Atletico in the summer on a season-long loan and has gone on to become a regular for Diego Simeone.
Atletico reportedly wanted to keep hold of Lenglet permanently but agreeing a fee with Barcelona may prove to be tricky.
However, Cerezo is confident an agreement can be reached for Lenglet to stay.
“Lenglet is a player owned by Barça,” he told TV3.
“Let’s talk. I imagine that there will be an agreement for him to continue with us.”
Barcelona are said to want around €10 million for Lenglet but may have to settle for less, with the defender having spoken this season about how happy he is in the Spanish capital.
