Inter team news: Thuram injury boost, Pio Esposito issue, four return to Europe

Marcus Thuram has completed a full training session with the Inter squad and is available to face Fluminense, but Francesco Pio Esposito is dealing with a muscle injury, and Hakan Calhanoglu, Piotr Zielinski, Benjamin Pavard, and Yann Bisseck have returned to Europe.

Inter are preparing to face Fluminense in the Club World Cup Round of 16.

Date and kick-off time for Inter vs Fluminense

The match will take place at the Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, 15:00 (21:00 CET) on Monday, June 30.

As reported by Gazzetta, Thuram is expected to be available for the game after missing the previous two encounters with Urawa Reds and River Plate.

The France striker completed a full training session with the team on Saturday.

Four Inter players to miss the rest of Club World Cup

On the other hand, Pio Esposito had to undergo medical tests due to a muscle issue, so he’s in doubt for the upcoming game against the Brazilian club.

Inter are training at the FC Charlotte training centre, the Atrium Health Performance Park.

Thuram trained alongside Davide Frattesi, while Hakan Calhanoglu, Piotr Zielinski, Benjamin Pavard and Yann Bisseck have returned to Europe as they are not expected to recover in time for any of Inter’s Club World Cup games.
