Bayern Munich has a new central defender in former Bayer Leverkusen veteran Jonathan Tah.
Tah brings massive experience from the Bundesliga to a Bayern backline which desperately needs some experience.
Upon his arrival with Bayern Munich at the FIFA Club World Cup, the German defender gave high praise to a new face, Lennart Karl.
Lennart Karl was a highlight of Bayern’s appearance at the Club World Cup. In his 45 minutes, he made a great impression with some great attacking runs and energy. Tah was one of many Bayern players that noticed Karl’s performance.
Jonathan Tah on Lennart Karl: “He’s extremely talented; I’ve heard a lot about him before. He’s a good 1v1 player, very technically gifted. The most important thing is that he keeps working, keeps at it, doesn’t sit back, but takes advantage of the chances he gets. Then he could become something great.”
“He could become something great” — That is exactly what Bayern Munich needs at the moment as the club is struggling to bring in top talent. With players like Florian Wirtz and Nico Williams snubbing the Bavarian giants, there will be a greater emphasis going forward at bringing up players through the ranks such as Aleksander Pavlović’s success story.
