Arsenal are poised for another busy transfer window, with talkSPORT reporting that the Gunners are preparing an approach for Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze. Internal talks at Arsenal have been ongoing for two weeks, and club figures are now expected to speak directly with Palace, potentially avoiding the need to trigger Eze’s hefty £68 million release clause.

Eze, 27, impressed last season with eight goals and eight assists, establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting creative players. His camp has reportedly made it clear he is open to the move, and personal terms are unlikely to be an obstacle should Arsenal push ahead.

This pursuit comes despite the imminent arrival of Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, who has passed his medical ahead of a £52 million transfer. Madueke is seen as competition for Bukayo Saka on the right but can also play on the left, giving Mikel Arteta fresh tactical options.

As talkSPORT explains, “His versatility means Arsenal will now turn their attention to a more central playmaker.”

Eze fits the bill perfectly. Arsenal’s interest in a central attacker reflects Arteta’s desire to increase goal contributions from midfield and reduce the creative burden on Martin Ødegaard.

The potential addition of Eze signals Arsenal’s intent to dominate games through a varied, fluid attack.Arsenal’s recruitment team is not stopping there.

According to the report, they retain “genuine interest” in Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, Newcastle’s Antony Gordon, and AC Milan’s Rafael Leão. However, any moves for these high-profile wingers would likely require the departure of either Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli.

It has been a whirlwind window for the Gunners so far, with significant deals already secured. Arsenal have wrapped up the £63.5 million signing of striker Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting, with €10 million in add-ons structured into the deal.

As talkSPORT notes, “A breakthrough came after Gyökeres’ agents waived a 10 per cent commission payable by Sporting,” allowing the Portuguese club to meet their original €70 million valuation.

The club also agreed a near €20 million package for Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera and signed Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga for £5 million after an impressive loan spell at Bournemouth.

Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi arrived for £55.8 million, and Brentford’s Christian Norgaard joined for up to £12 million. With over £200 million already committed, Arsenal are clearly serious about pushing for silverware next season.
