Manchester United are hoping that Andre Onana can perform on loan at Trabzonspor so they can sell him off for a sizeable fee next summer, sources have told Football Flame.
Onana is set to complete his temporary move to Turkey imminently, as he looks to revitalise his career away from Old Trafford.
After being unimpressed with recent performances by the Cameroonian international and Altay Bayindir, Man United confirmed the deadline day signing of Senne Lammens.
Sources say that after the addition of Lammens, there is effectively no way back for Onana at United despite his contract running until 2028.
With Man United bringing in Lammens, they are moving in a different direction and no longer require the services of Onana.
However, they will still be hoping that the 29-year-old can find some form while out on loan, so that they can sell him at the end of the season.
With three years still remaining on Onana’s deal, he isn’t going to be easy to offload, and therefore, the Red Devils are desperate for him to attract some interest.
Ruben Amorim will not want a similar situation to this summer, where he had a ‘bomb squad’ training alone as they searched for moves away.
