Ibrahim Mbaye (17) has seen his contract at formative club Paris Saint-Germain extended for a further year, according to a report from RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins.

Mbaye has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at PSG. The winger, who has recently committed his international future to Senegal and who has already made his debut for the nation, ahead of heading for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), has played 20 games for Les Parisiens.

In that time, he has scored one goal and registered three assists.

Mbaye signed his first professional deal with PSG over the summer and when that was signed, there was an option included for a further year.

It is understood that, just months after that deal was signed, the extra year has already been triggered.

The forward’s new deal at the Parc des Princes runs until the summer of 2028, RMC Sport understands. As he heads off to AFCON, his future at club level is secured.
