Tottenham Hotspur travel to the Arctic Circle to face Bodo/Glimt in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final on Thursday night.
The Lilywhites travel to Norway boasting a 3-1 lead from the first leg in North London, but Ange Postecoglou will be wary of the threat posed by their opponents.
Premier League rivals Manchester United could await Spurs in the final if they reach it, with the Red Devils having beaten Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in the first leg of the other semi-final.
In the meantime, it has emerged that Tottenham are hoping to sign an attacker this summer.
According to TBR Football, Spurs are hoping to sign forward Mathys Tel permanently this summer.
The 20-year-old joined Tottenham on loan from Bayern Munich in January, and the deal includes an option-to-buy the player for a fee of £45 million.
The report claims that the London side have made it clear to the player’s representatives that they are keen to keep hold of him, however the club are hoping to renegotiate the fee for Tel.
Since joining Spurs in January, the Frenchman has scored three times in 16 games for Postecoglou’s side across all competitions, as well as registering a single assist.For Bayern, Tel has 16 goals in 83 matches since signing for the Bavarian giants from French side Rennes in the summer of 2022.
Tel is able to operate in a number of attacking roles but primarily plays on the left flank or as a central forward.
The player himself is said to be settled and happy in London, but it remains to be seen whether or not he will choose to return to Bavaria when his loan deal ends at the end of the current campaign.
