Real Sociedad manager Sergio Francisco believes Xabi Alonso has changed a lot of things at Real Madrid, as the two managers are set to face off on Saturday afternoon at Anoeta.
Real Madrid want to make it four wins out of four La Liga matches under new management, while La Real are trying to get into the upper half of the league table in their new reign.
Francisco was asked about the biggest difference that Alonso has made during his time at Real Madrid so far, to which he gave a detailed, tactical answer.
He said: “They’re the best in transition, we’ll have to counter them and limit them, and then create our own. Xabi has changed things at Madrid. They want the ball more, they’re more combinative.
“The aggressiveness after losing the ball, the level of the collective.
Madrid sinks you in the opponent’s half and also attacks space very well.
