Aston Villa sign Axel Disasi on a loan deal

Axel Disasi will spend the rest of the season on loan at Aston Villa, after a late-late move on transfer deadline day was confirmed following quite a few twists and turns in the last couple days.
Disasi had been mooted to be on the transfer list all along in this window, having not seen much Premier League action in the first half of the season, but interest didn’t materialize until late. At that point, both Villa and Tottenham Hotspur tussled over his favor, with the latter getting amusingly rejected not once but twice by the player. Chelsea might have preferred to do business with Spurs — shock!...
