Slovenia dismiss Head coach Tomaz Kavcic

Football Association of Slovenia have sacked head coach Tomaz Kavcic after winning just one of their seven games in 2018. Kavcic was only appointed in December last year but has product results in Slovania national team, with Slovenia languishing at the foot of League C Group 3 in the Nations League standings. He steadied the ship with a 1-1 draw at home against Cyprus on Tuesday, but it was not enough to save his job.There have been rumours that Kavcic difficult relationship with goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who missed the recent games with Norway and Cyprus was to blame for his exits, but the Football Association of Slovenia's president Radenko Mijatovic denied that was the case.Radenko told media: "It will never be because of a player that we change coach." Slovenia will hop...

Liverpool central midfielder Naby Keita will undergo a scan when he returns to his club after being injured playing for Guinea. Keita injured  his hamstring in Tuesday African Cup of Nations qualifier in Rwanda. The Guinean professional footballer has made 10 starts for the Reds since joining from RB Leipzig.Keita is the fourth Reds player along with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk to be injured in the international break.

Italy claim their first 1-0 win of the Uefa Nations League over Poland

Italy has earn their first victory of the UEFA Nations League on Sunday after defeating  Poland 1-0 a late goal from full-back Cristiano Biraghi. Italy dominated the most part of the game, they had many opportunity to open the scoring, but poor finishing and a great outing from Wojciech Szczesny kept them from scoring until Biraghi struck.Russia also beat Turkey 2-0 in a UEFA Nations League group match on Sunday.
