Dortmund's Achraf Hakimi ruled out for the season

Borussia Dortmund defender Achraf Hakimi has been ruled out for the rest of the season and center back Abdou Diallo is also injured.Dortmund says Hakimi, who is on loan from Real Madrid for two seasons, broke a metatarsal 24 minutes after coming on for the injured Diallo in the 2-0 win over Wolfsburg on Saturday. The Morocco defender will return to Madrid for an operation.The club says Diallo has muscular problems and that his return is open.Dortmund, which leads the league by two points, visits second-place Bayern Munich in a potentially league-deciding match on Saturday.

Schalke ease relegation fears with Hannover win

Schalke 04 eased their  Bundesliga relegation fears after Suat Serdar's first-half strike to grab a 1-0 win over fellow struggler Hannover on Sunday. Schalke captain Benjamin Stambouli set up Serdar to score with a volley in the 39th minute. It came against the run of play as the visitors had done very little in attack and had been dominated in terms of possession and goal chances. But Schalke's first win since interim coach Huub Stevens returned for his third stint lifts the side six points clear of the relegation zone with seven rounds remaining. The team had previously gone eight games without a win in all competitions.Hannover dropped to last following Nuremberg's first win in 21 games the day before. Bayern Munich President Uli Hoeness has confirmed that the club will launch their biggest investment programme during the summer transfer window.The German giants have under-performed during the current campaign, and Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben are both known to be leaving the club at the end of the campaign.Bayern have been heavily linked with a big-money approach for Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odio and Hoeness has hinted that another offer could be made for the youngster.At a Munich brokerage fair, Hoeness said: "We are in the process of rejuvenating our team.
