Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon for a bargain fee of just £22.4 million this summer. According to Sport, as relayed by The Sun, Real Madrid are ready to part ways with Sergio Reguilon.  They are willing to offload the Chelsea target despite a successful loan spell at Sevilla this past season and have put out a fairly reasonable £22.4 million price-tag. It could serve as a massive boost for the Blues, who are desperate to sign a new left-back as part of Frank Lampard’s overhaul this summer.  The Blues have already been linked with a high profile individuals li...

Willian says Chelsea snubbed him despite having Frank Lampard’s backing

Arsenal unveil new signing Willian on August 14, 2020 in London, England. Willian has opened up on his departure from Chelsea, calling it the club's fault after receiving the backing from Frank Lampard. The Brazil international called time on seven years at Stamford Bridge following his move from Shakhtar in 2013. And Arsenal have moved to snap up the forward on a free transfer, despite being Chelsea's big London rivals. It comes after failed contract negotiations between Willian and the Blues. Chelsea were only prepared to give the 32-year-old a two-year contract but he demanded three. Stamford Bridge chiefs were reluctant to give him a deal that would have seen him earning over £100,000-a-week at the age of 35. And Willian has insisted it was the club that forced him o...

Yaya Toure thinks Pep Guardiola may be in precarious position at Manchester City

Head Coach Josep Guardiola of Manchester City looks on prior to the UEFA Champions League round of 16 first leg match between Real Madrid and Manchester City at Bernabeu on February 26, 2020 in Madrid, Spain. Yaya Toure has questioned whether Manchester City should sack Pep Guardiola after his Champions League failure. The former City midfielder believes if Guardiola had missed out consistently at other clubs he would have been on the brink of the axe. City were beaten 3-1 in the Champions League quarter-finals by Lyon last week, with Guardiola's tactics coming under fire. He has failed to make the last four since moving to the Etihad in 2016 and, despite two Premier League titles, Toure feels the Spaniard's job would be under threat elsewhere. "If this was Barcelona or maybe ...

Manchester United must consider setting their own Jadon Sancho transfer deadline

Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund looks on during day two of the Borussia Dortmund winter training camp on January 05, 2020 in Marbella, Spain. Borussia Dortmund's self-imposed deadline of August 10 came and went for Jadon Sancho's move to Manchester United with the predictable hardline stance coming out of the Bundesliga side. As far as Dortmund are concerned that's it for the summer, but the reality is that was never going to be the case. Placing a date on a deal was merely part of a summer of strategising and politicking for what will be the biggest deal in this window, if it happens. Dortmund's deadline was a moveable line in the sand. If United returned tomorrow with the offer the Westphalia side want then Sancho would be on the next plane into Manchester. But, right now, th...

Claudio Bravo leaves Manchester City

Claudio Bravo of Manchester City walks down the tunnel after the FA Cup Fifth Round match between Sheffield Wednesday and Manchester City at Hillsborough on March 04, 2020 in Sheffield, England. Claudio Bravo has left Manchester City after four years with the Club. The Chilean goalkeeper, now 37, made 61 appearances for City after joining from Barcelona in 2016 and kept 20 clean sheets. Bravo was signed to fit in with Pep Guardiola’s playing from the back strategy and made 30 appearances during his first campaign. Capped 123 times by his country, the arrival of Ederson in 2017/18 meant Bravo’s first team opportunities were largely reserved for cup competitions or to cover injuries. In fact, more than half of his City appearances came in cup matches, with only seven Premier Lea...

David de Gea has backed himself to overcome the doubters, despite the Manchester United goalkeeper facing a potential threat to his position from Dean Henderson next season. De Gea's longer-term place in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side has come under scrutiny after he made a number of high-profile errors. With De Gea, Sergio Romero and Henderson, who has returned from his loan spell with Sheffield United, to call upon, Solskjaer has admitted he cannot include three leading goalkeepers in his squad next season. But De Gea, who signed a four-year contract worth £19.5 million (€21.5m) a year last September, say...

Jurgen Klopp words offer sole certainty on Thiago to Liverpool talk

Thiago of FC Bayern Muenchen controls the Ball during the Bundesliga match between TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and FC Bayern Muenchen at PreZero-Arena on February 29, 2020 in Sinsheim, Germany. Jurgen Klopp has been a long-time admirer of Thiago Alcantara. That much is certain. The Liverpool manager first came into close contact with the midfielder when he made the move to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2013. Bayern had given Klopp one of his lowest moments in the game just a few months earlier when they edged out his Borussia Dortmund side in the Champions League final at Wembley. That his arch-nemeses went and spent the best part of €25m just a couple of months later to bring the gifted technician to Bavaria from Barcelona will have only added to Klopp's Bayern-induced headache.
