Man utd manager Jose Mourinho has planned to replace David De Gea if he leaves for Real Madrid. Arsenal will have  to splash £25million if they decide to sign top target Chris Smalling from Manchester United. The Gunners are in the market to bolster their back line this summer with Per Mertesacker set to hang up his boots, according to the news. Arsene Wenger had been keen on bringing in West Brom defender Jonny Evans, who could only cost £3m this summer if the Baggies go down, but have turned their attention to Smalling. The England ace has come under fire in recent weeks for his duff partnership with Phil Jones, but has still played 30 times so far this campaign.

BARCELONA SET TO SELL ANDRE GOMES AT THE END OF THE SEASON

Barcelona plans to sell midfielder Andre Gomes at the end of the season. Gomes moved to Barcelona from Valencia in the summer of 2016, and the midfielder made 47 appearances in all competitions during his first season with the Catalan giants. The 24-year-old has already appeared on 22 occasions for Barcelona this term, but he was strongly linked with a move to the Premier League last summer. According to Diario AS, Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has made it clear that Gomes does not fit into his long-term plans in Catalonia, and the Portugal international will be made available for transfer ahead of the 2018-19 campaign. Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be an admirer of his fellow countryman.

MAN CITY TO CONTEND WITH MAN UTD AND REAL MADRID FOR TOTTENHAM DEFENDER TOBY ALDERWEIRELD

Manchester City will face competition from Real Madrid in their pursuit of Toby Alderweireld, according to a report.Chelsea are one of a number of clubs - including Manchester United - linked with a summer move for the Tottenham defender. However, according to The Mirror Real Madrid are now favourites to sign the Belgian at the end of the season. The 28-year-old's future was cast into doubt after he was left out of the Spurs squad for both their Champions League draw against Juventus and their Premier League win against Arsenal. Alderweireld is out of contract in summer 2019, but Tottenham have an option to extend his deal by one season until 2020. Failure to activate the extension, however, will trigger a release clause allowing Alderweireld to leave for a fee of £25.4million.

Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund is attracting interest from Liverpool and Manchester United. The Anfield club, Red Devils and Bayern Munich are all chasing the US international.
