UCL: Haaland shines for Dortmund as Atletico Madrid beat Liverpool

Champions League round of 16 action began on Tuesday with Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid scoring impressive victories while contenders Liverpool and PSG were sent home with a loss and work to do. 

Liverpool, the reigning champs, lost 1-0 at Atletico Madrid on Saul Niguez’s winner as the Reds didn’t record a single shot on goal. 

Dortmund got two goals from 19-year-old Erling Haaland to put a foot into the round of 16 with a 2-1 victory over PSG, though Neymar’s away goal could prove crucial come the second leg.
