England beat Croatia 2-1 to reach UEFA Nations League semi-final
England beat Croatia 2-1 to qualify for UEFA Nations League semi-final on Sunday. England were almost relegated to the second tier of the competition after Andrej Kramaric gave Croatia the lead in the second half at Wembley.
But Southgate’s side bounced back in the closing stages to grab victory, Jesse Lingard came off the bench to help England’s equalise and captain Kane doubled their tally in five minutes left.
England’s comeback took them to the top of Group A4, above Spain and relegated Croatia, and they can look forward to playing in the last four in June next year.
