Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr plans to recall Mainz striker Anthony Ujah for 2019 AFCON

Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr has planned to recall Mainz forward player Anthony Ujah for next month 2019 Africa Cup of Nations double header against Libya.

In 2015 Ujah last cap ended with goalless draw with Tanzania in the  AFCON qualifier. His lack of game time at Mainz was the main reason he was not invited to the Nigeria squad for the 2018 World Cup despite a chance meeting with Gernot Rohr at the airport in Frankfurt.

Rohr told reporter: We are scouting him, we could remember him for the next games. Ujah was a member of the Super Eagles squad at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and started the 6-1 rout of Tahiti.
