As a top five club in the world, Bayern Munich expects the players to spend the international breaks with their respective national teams.
Every now and then, the path to playing time is blocked or nonexistent. For one particular player, that might be the case.
According to Sacha Tavolieri (via @iMiaSanMia), Sacha Boey could switch international allegiance to Belgium.
The player was born to a Belgian mother and his entourage has contacted the Belgian federation to inform them of his availability. Boey is very open to playing for Belgium in the future.
The 24-year old Frenchman would prefer to play with his Bayern Munich teammates, Michael Olise, Dayot Upamecano, and Kingsley Coman. However, that call-up does not seem to be coming any time soon.
It is also possible that Vincent Kompany’s relationship with the Belgian national team can broker a positive solution for all parties.
