Japan Football Association appoint Hajime Moriyasu as new head coach

Japan Football Association (JFA) appoint Hajime Moriyasu as new head coach to manage the senior national team for the 2022 Fifa World cup.
Moriyasu received three J.League titles in the course of a successful 5-year spell at Hanfrecce Hiroshima before taking the olympic team reins in 2017.

The former midfielder, moriyasu was regular japan player in the the mid 1990s and featured while the national team final didn’t qualify for the world cup in 1994.

Moriyasu replaces Akira Nishino who led japan in  touching distance of a maiden Quarter final World cup appearance. While they suffer a last-minute 3-2 defeat to belgium at russia 2018. Moriyasu was an assistant to Nishino at Russia 2018.
