Germany’s World Cup qualifiers group is set

The Nations League is, at this point, a well known commodity that the average fan knows a lot about. But one thing about the competition some might not know is that it directly affects the World Cup qualification cycle.
Germany could have landed in either World Cup qualifying Group A or Group I, but due to Sunday’s 3-3 draw against Italy and the resulting 5-4 aggregate victory over both legs in the Nations League quarterfinals, Germany are in Group A.
