Jonathan Burkardt withdraws from Germany squad

After Nadiem Amiri and Yann Aurel Bisseck, Jonathan Burkardt is the latest player to withdraw from the Germany squad ahead of their UEFA Nations League Final Four games.
According to Kicker, Burkardt suffered a laceration to his heel during training on Sunday which required stitches.
The Mainz forward was already a doubt for Wednesday’s game against Portugal after sustaining a toe injury, but it didn’t turn out serious enough to withdraw.
