FC Metz set to sign Ivorian international Jean-Philippe Gbamin

FC Metz are set to sign Jean-Philippe Gbamin (29), according to Foot Mercato. He has reportedly passed his medical and will be officially announced imminently.
Gbamin began his career at RC Lens before moving to FSV Mainz 05 in July 2016. After three seasons in Germany, he joined Premier League side Everton.
He struggled for game time in England, making only eight appearances for the club. After successive loan spells at CSKA Moscow and Trabzonspor, he returned to France and joined Ligue 2 side USL Dunkerque.
He then signed for Ligue 1 club FC Nantes in August 2024 on a free transfer.
