Jarrad Branthwaite Everton suffer nightmare blow as key star gets injured in training Everton have been dealt a blow on the eve of the season after centre back Jarrad Branthwaite injured a hamstring in training. The 23-year old is understood to have aggravated the same hamstring in his right thigh that saw him limp of in the final game at Goodison against Southampton in May. The England international sustained it during routine sprinting drills and there are fears he could be out until the end of September. Branthwaite agreed a new contract in the summer amid interest from Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City.
