Matty Cash has signed a new five-year contract at Aston Villa.
The 24-year-old right-back has been in fine form this season and Villa have rewarded him with improved terms.
Manager Steven Gerrard has praised the full-back for his performances and made it clear that he wants him to stick around for the future.
The new deal will end any talk of Cash leaving this summer and also come as bad news for Atletico Madrid who registered an interest in January and were considering a bid this summer.
