According to Munich newspaper TZ, Bayern Munich are open to selling Leroy Sané this summer.
It is understood that the 28-year-old’s contract is set to expire in 2025, and talks regarding a new deal have failed to progress. Therefore, Der Rekordmeister are willing to listen to offers for Sané before they lose him on a free transfer.
However, contrary to this report, according to Bild, Bayern do not want to lose Sané. Despite talks over an extended contract stalling, the former Schalke winger has not expressed a desire to leave the club, and communication between all parties are still positive.
The only way the record champions would consider selling the 28-year-old is if he informed the club that he did not wish to renew his deal at the Allianz Arena. Nevertheless, as of yet, this is not the case.
In fact, Sané can see himself playing a key role under Vincent Kompany when he recovers from surgery.
Regardless, Bayern will need to understand how Sané imagines his future before the transfer window ends, should they look to receive a fee for his services.
