Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger spoke about Karim Benzema as “the best player he has ever played with” in an interview with The Inside Scoop. He said: “Karim Benzema, I could say Modric, Kroos, Chelsea Hazard… but I have to go with Benzema [as the best player I have played with].”
Rudiger on Jude Bellingham
“I believe if God marks your time, nobody can do anything about it and he was there always at the right time.
And luckily, he has great parents. I spoke to his mum a couple of times, I met them at Chelsea, and Jude told me his mum remembered I was the only one who greeted them that day.”
Rudiger on Kylian Mbappe
“You hear these things, ‘Oh, Kylian will interrupt the dressing room,’ but he’s a very down-to-earth guy.
I see him mature and he’s already scoring goals, influential and the link-up game with him, Vini, Rodrygo and Jude is getting better.”Rudiger on his ‘slaps’“Sometimes I ask myself, what are you doing? (laughs). It’s just there and when I score, I get them back. This is just how I show my love to those guys.”
Rudiger on signing for Real Madrid
“It was the 9th of May, 2022 when I signed with Real Madrid. They came to London. It was unreal. I hugged my kids, I couldn’t believe it.
They gave me a shirt as a gift, I still have it. I was holding it all day.”Rudiger on the Bayern comeback“You remember when the goal vs. Bayern was taken, foul on Kimmich? After, I knew we would go and win.
The fans turned louder and louder. Vini was taking the ball and it was giving us confidence and we put in Joselu.”Rudiger on Lamine Yamal“You have to say… Yamal has a huge future ahead of him. InShaAllah he stays healthy. The player he already is there at 17. He has a bright future.”
