After interest in Taty Castellanos, it is now reported that Burnley are close to an agreement to sign Loum Tchaouna from Lazio for €14m.
The Premier League side is eager to raid the Biancocelesti this season, as there had already been rumours of an approach for centre-forward Valentino ‘Taty’ Castellanos.
However, a far likelier move is for his teammate Tchaouna, as Sky Sports Switzerland report that negotiations are advancing rapidly.
Tchaouna has struggled at Lazio
The versatile attacking winger turns 22 in September and played for France at various youth levels.
Lazio paid €8.45m to sign him from Salernitana last summer, but Tchaouna struggled to make an impact at the Stadio Olimpico with two goals and one assist in 37 competitive appearances.Notably, only 15 of those were in the starting XI.
Tchaouna is reportedly eager to move to the Premier League, and Lazio have no real intention of keeping him either, especially if the €14m offer is confirmed. He can then undergo a medical and put pen to paper on a five-year contract.
Sky Sport Italia add it remains to be seen if this will be an outright purchase, or a loan with obligation to buy.PSV Eindhoven had been linked with the former Salernitana and Rennes player.
