Inter Milan reportedly eyeing Benfica and Atalanta Midfielders

Inter Milan are reportedly monitoring Benfica’s Richard Rios and Atalanta’s Ederson as potential additions to strengthen their midfield this summer.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri could reignite their interest in the Colombian midfielder.

Inter had tried to sign Richard Rios from Palmeiras last summer before completing Andy Diouf’s transfer from Lens.

However, Benfica won the race for the 25-year-old’s services, paying the Brazilian club €27 million to lure Rios to Lisbon.

Still, after failing to settle at the Estadio da Luz, he could move to San Siro this summer, although Inter would have to beat Napoli to his signature.

While Benfica are reportedly open to selling Rios, it would take around €35 million to persuade them to sanction a deal.

In addition to Rios, the San Siro giants are still interested in Atalanta stalwart Ederson.

Indeed, the Brazilian star was on Inter’s shortlist last summer, though Atalanta’s massive asking price blew them out of the water.

Despite La Dea’s stratospheric demands, Ederson remains one of Inter’s targets heading into the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, La Liga giants Atletico Madrid could rival Inter for the former Salernitana midfielder’s signature.
